The first week of classes is supposed to be the most intense
and exciting week of classes! So lets start my first week! I loaded a taxi at 1
o’clock am on wednsday and before I could fall asleep to head home I realized
the taxi driver was going 120-130 miles per hour! As i fall asleep I wonder how
this could actually be? What was going on? Was this real?... and as I relayed
this to mom after I got to Prague as theatrical as ever! All she could do was
giggle and laugh at me… I realized shortly later (about 4 days later) it was in
“km” which relays to about 60-70 miles per hour… to say what an adventure to start my morning!
As the day progressed I realized also im strong enough and have
enough patients to get through a international airport I never thought I would
be able to under the amount of stress I have been under but I did YES ME I DID
IT!!!
Any who on a positive note
the amazing adventures I have already indurd will last me a life time! I
MUST SAY I LOVE PRAGUE!!! A true culture shocsk did not hit till we got to Olomouc!
BUT back to Prague! The sites the smells
the atmosphere the cobble stones the Charles bridge EVEYRHTING ahhh it is
perfect! Im not very daring but I am trying to become more and more adventurous
with things… it is my goal J
One thing I have learned and will take back with me other
than a rocking booty and amazing legs!!!
Is that I take to much for granted like 2 ply toilet paper…
that is not really readily available or in stores to use or even our dorms! Or even
shopping carts! You have to pay for shopping carts in Europe and that was
strange to me really strange! I wish in school they would have taught us like
celcius, km, centimeters, and I never really learned those measurement tools so
it was a little shocking and hard for me to figure out! AND holy cow! The cost of things I know it
shows ignorance but I was expecting to spend so much on food and personal
items, and im not things are significantly cheaper here its amazing!!!! And I love
pizza in Europe and those that don’t know me know I really really don’t like
pizza in America! But its different its tasty and amazing and YUMmm! Oh wow and
latte latte latte yum yum yum café 87 is amazing and cheap the lattes here are
better than I have EVER had EVER!!!! Especially with a croissant oh my gosh!
I love love love the people im with I was very very
sketpitcal about going because im not as much of a social butterfly or anything
as I used to be but I am enjoying it and cant wait to get back! While im talking about people im with let me
mention a few!
Lorena Ortega… She is
my beautiful absolutely beautiful outgoing amazing roomie J im soo glad I met her!
She has helped me through a lot and doesn’t even know it… I look forward to her
morning or afternoon text which ever it might be while im chillin’ in the
states! J
looking forward to returning and seeing her smiley face Thursday!!!! J
Ali Mercado… I ghave known Ali for a long time but I had
never talked to her in an indepth conversation and I finaly got the chance to a
few times! And I would love to thank her because she was there when I really
needed someone… she didn’t leave and
leave me hanging… I spent the whole night with her… hoping we can do
that again but in better circumstances J
And one of the last people I would like to mention is Sarah
Pettay… she was also there when I really really needed someone! I spent time
talking and planning with her before our trip and nothing has went the way I planned
haha funny how that works I was over prepared!! But I wish at times she was my roommate
because we planned it but I love the arrangments we have! Again hopefully we
can hanf out again! J
Despite all the bad im so glad I went and I have made it
this far!! This is not where I planned to be 2 years ago hell even 5 months
ago!! I am going to miss my family as I leave again for Europe tomorrow at one
but I know this is for the best! And I will never regret it!
Lorena and me :)
