what a week

OK well it is brought to my attention by friends and family I need to update more or you cant follow me (thanks mom) :) anyway… after I landed  back in Europe (safely) I met the mob at the hostile after a short 40 minute nap I went on yet another tour of Prague this one was significantly shorter but in the same time was much better showed us things we “wanted” to see like some of the hidden things most tourist I don’t think would know  was there!! The Lennon Wall is what sticks out to me the most! In Prague there is a wall called the Lennon Wall (its more less a graffiti wall) there was even a little state of Nebraska that we found painted on the wall sooo cool :) and then they released back in Prague on our own a few of us went back to the fried duck place(no I did not eat DUCK) I had pasta num num.  Then for the first time I tried GELATO!  The best way to describe it is ice cream a million times better!! Omg its melt in your mouth goodness!  That day we also found out our hostile for the weekend did not have wifi we were all crushed then we found ways around getting wifi in our rooms…
The next day we went to the Prague castle which was beautiful breath taking, old, drop dead gorgeous in my eyes (I didn’t get very many pictures because I forgot to take them) but the castle is so old and still has services in it… the close down the church so you can go to church then open it back up like a museum which I thought would be pretty cool to say hey I got to church in the castle what about you?   Then we toured the area where they did horse tournaments and also where they kept the very important documents, the horses had their own “staircase” in to the main area… it was so cool and very clever! The people that lived back then were geniuses.  When you go upstairs the first room you enter has all the royal crest on the wall and ceiling Jan and Martin mentioned briefly to us that when a couple gets married they combine their crest on the wall. I thought how interesting is that? We finished touring the castle, Jan and Martin took a group of us to an authentic Czech pub with interesting bathroom signs (sorry I don’t have pictures to share of that one) THEN THEN THEN they took us to an chocolate café!  How delicious!!! It was the best thing I had tasted since I got to Czech! Omg yum yum yum if I can find my way back there im going again! Needless to say it was amazing!
Ok so my adventures in Germany…. Where do I start! We got off the  train and we are all dieing of starvation (even Pharaoh Kami) we managed to convince Jan and Martin to let us take a short 15-20 minute break… Starbucks was bombarder!! After satisfying our dire need of food and energy we were given two options either go to an art museum OR OR OR go to another castel with a museum in it… (drumroll please…) CASTLLE it is :)… we saw a large amount of ancient artifacts I would say you could call them.  My favorite was the weapons room and Turkish room (once I started staying with Kami everything was much more interesting she knows sooo much stuff… its nuts the amount the woman knows) on each sword the maker of the sword engraved his initials on the top by handel. Who knew! After a good walk through and some rebel moves by Ali and I (we took pictures) we managed to finish the museum and go grab a bite to eat. Kami, Ali, Anthony and I all went to a little bistro. It was cute but they were extremely rude they didn’t have time for us to pay our bills separately so we had to combine our bill and pay Kami back! Then we went and got gelato!!!! Yes again it’s a daily thing we take part in :) so we met back up with the large group at a statue of Martin Luther and were supposed to take a tour of another church but they had something going on so we went up to the look out and saw the view took a few photos and came back down… we were supposed to meet at 4:40 we didn’t meet till 4:46. And so off we went trucking back to the train. Then the turning point Martin looks at Kami and very casualy says shall we pick it up a bit the train leaves in 5… 5 MINUTES!!!! And now is when I tell you we are at least a mile away in the middle of Dresdan, Germany in  5 pm and they expect us to do what and in what amount of time!!!  OK SO  we speed up and then I think it hits all of us we have 5 minutes,1 mile and time was ticking! So we all took off on a dead sprint ( 27 of us Americans running through Dresdan) we ran through the middle of a dance off around bikes up and down stairs got a few weird looks and then  after all of us took off Martin decided it was really time to run and his walk is already our run we knew we were screwed at that point!! So we get to the train station panting and realizing we are not in shape red in the face about to fall over JUST in time to see the train pull away from the station  :( heart was crushed!!! I never seen so many sad Americans in a foreign country in my entire life... BUT hey we ran 1 mile in 5 minutes why that wouldn’t have worked in gym all these years I don’t know… so we waited for the next train which was 2 hours away.
This is when I deciede for what ever country I go to I will buy my self a scarf from there, so in my two hours I went to their version of Tj maxx and bought two scarfs because im in decisive… on the plus side we caught our train this time and headed back to Prague for one more day!   On Sunday we went to the Jewish Holocaust musem which was very moving. Aschuwitz will be very very hard.  Oh well its supposed to be a once in a life time event, we will also go to Terezin as well.  At the cemetray in the museum, we realized that there was 100,000s jews buried in about a block spain and the head stones were all but stacked on top of each other just the like the people buried there it was crazy to see and imagine!
OK now to update you on classes I love love love the lecture series we hae but the language class I feel is not what a language class should be  I don’t care how to learn to say the things they are teaching us so I space off half the time in that class, I would rather learn numbers, alphabet, please thank you your welcome wheres the bathroom, I need hekp, those types of things rather than I am drunk I am hung over, I guess I just have a different opinion about what that class should be used for:( which sucks!
The most interesting lecture I have listened to would have to be Martins, on WWII I have so many notes from that one  which on the plus side im learning to take notes and about the history because honestly I didn’t pay attention in high school I didn’t care enough to… now all of this is so interesting… I definaily stay much more focused when there is a power point otherwise im more focused on I cant understand your accent. As frustrating as it is for most I love the night classes I stay awake much better and  im much more attentive!
In Kami’s class the very first day I go we have a bloody quiz… good lord you have to be joking I know none of this how am I supposed to pass this ahh!! If you couldn’t tell I was freaking out!!  Took the quiz sort of relaxed a little talked with Kami the next and found out I got a 70% wahoo I passed I passed :) that was the best news yet! I wanted to scream and shout!!  It was great and her class yeah its worth taking she knows so much and she keeps it interesting.  I was worried about her class the most, and I honestly think her is probably the hardest but it will keep my interest the most as well!
I went exploring for some me time during the day when i could just go explore:)  and i stumbled unknowingly upon the mall this mall is a mall its amazing so many stores so many options its like heaven giving to you on a plater!! but what initially drew me that way was circus tents and i thought i saw a carisell, sadly no carisell but the mall!!
And finaly last night for the first time I decided to go out with some of the girls and go dancing… I realized rather quickly when I lost an essential button on my shirt that maybe this partying thing really wasn’t for me! So im not sure how many more times I will do that or maybe just not stay out so late :) I also rather quickly realized that drunk people are clingy and then saw the same clingy girl cracked her head open!  It was horrible I wanted to cry for her I didn’t but wanted to. Then I walked out of the club and saw Lisa :) Lisa is a girl that went on the trip two years ago I knew she was in the area just didn’t think I would see her and then I did we shared a few fries and went about our way.  I finally made it home around 4:30-5 THIS MORNING and got up entirely way to late this afternoon…
I cannot wait to be back home where I have structure and a job and a real school schedule.  I did also book my plane tickets home this week and got that taken care of. I have 7 weeks or roughly 50 days and about half of those will be in other country’s… I’m excited for what’s to come and hoping everything works out fantastically
